Combatting telecom fraud in real-time 


svi FPG iconThe SVI-FPG Fraud Prevention Gateway is deployed as an active component in the network allowing operators to proactively combat fraud in real-time.

Designed specifically to sit outside any service effecting critical path the SVI_FPG allows users to interrogate network components and resources to identify potential fraudulent behaviour. If fraud is detected the gateway can then instigate remedial network actions e.g. session tear-down, forwarding, redirect, transfer etc.

Gateway Deployment Mode


gateway deployment modeThe SVI-FPG is deployed as an active component but designed to avoid any service effecting critical paths in the network. Highly flexible it can be used to build custom signalling scenarios to allow operators to identify and then remedy fraudulent behaviour in real-time.

  • Interrogation of multiple network elements e.g. HLR, HSS, SCP, OCS etc.
  • Initiate pro-active behaviour in the network e.g. session tear-down, forwarding, redirect, transfer, blocking etc.

 

Passive Monitoring Mode


passive svi_fpg deployment modeIn addition the SVI_FPG can be configured to passively monitor signalling in the network over SS7, SCTP, TCP & UDP.

Messages can be analysed for fraudulent patterns that can then trigger proactive actions in the network as per the Gateway Deployment Mode.
