The SVI-HLR provides a full suite of functionality with a comprehensive Equipment Identity Register (EIR) to combat stolen, unauthorized or defective equipment and an Authentication Center (AuC) to prevent SIM cloning and provide encryption keys.

The Home Location Register (HLR) serves as the primary database repository of subscriber information within GSM/GPRS networks. Subscriber policies control all voice, sms and data services running across a GSM network.

Equipment Identity Register | EIR

The EIR contains information about the identity of the mobile equipment that prevents calls from stolen, unauthorized or defective equipment.
Features include:
- Provisioning of Black, White and Grey lists defining access
- Validation checking the IMEI of the subscriber
- Validation checking the IMSI attached to the IMEI
Authentication Centre | AuC

The AuC function authenticates mobile SIMs connecting to the network and generates keys used in the subsequent encryption of voice, sms and data calls
