Delivering More Effective Networking
Comsys Ghana is an established provider of a range of enterprise connectivity and communication solutions in West Africa. As a result of a growing subscriber base and network complexity, the company approached Squire Technologies to provide a solution that would deliver efficient routing and enhanced operational control over its network.

Diameter Interworking case study
As migration to LTE networks continues to gather momentum, many operators are confronted with the challenge of connecting new infrastructure to legacy systems and networks. The problem is that LTE infrastructure – and the IMS core, which is a requirement for the support of voice services in LTE networks – takes advantage of Diameter signalling for the management and delivery of key functions. In legacy networks, these functions were supported by SS7 signalling, specifically the Mobile Application Part, or MAP.

Fixed Operator case study
Sometimes, network operators can achieve the success that delivers more traffic and growth than they had forecast in their original network planning. At the same time, critical, deployed equipment can be subject to forces beyond their control, such as when a vendor declares a product line end of life (EoL). These two influences can have a powerful impact and force a network operator to evaluate its network evolution strategy both to meet unprecedented demand and also to resolve continuity of supply issues. It can be an opportunity to both secure critical network elements and to consider a more effectively optimised infrastructure for the future.

Mobile Network Operators (MNO) case study
Roaming is a key part of the range of services that a Mobile Network Operator (MNO) needs to support. It’s essential to enable visitors to a network to be able to enjoy the same services and capabilities that they do in their home network. This means that operators need to be able to support a complex array of interconnection points in order to ensure that roaming customers can maintain service consumption.

Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO) case study
While some MVNOs operate without any network infrastructure, others have deployed signalling and media solutions to support a range of call routing options and differentiated service possibilities. Such infrastructure can assist an MVNO to diversify its service portfolio and enhance operating margins.

System Integration case study
Systems Integrators are confronted with a continuous stream of challenges. They must deliver solutions based on their core elements and components but ensure that they fit into a widely differing set of environments. This means that they need to find partners that can provide key enabling technology or solutions that provide additional functionality that extends their core offer.

Triple Play Provider case study
A national cable operator with a rich triple-play offer enjoyed a hard-won reputation for investment in new services. It had achieved consistent differentiation by bringing new services to its customers and adding diversity to its portfolio to meet their needs.

Wholesale Carriers case study
Wholesale carriers have a vital role to play in the telecoms value chain. They are a key link that enables operators and service providers to profitably deliver traffic to any destination. Of course, there are a few operators with a global reach through their own networks, but these are the exception rather than the rule. For the rest, they depend on leveraging carriers to deliver traffic to destinations they serve.

Integrating an OCS platform to facilitate multi-generation networks.
Squire Technologies’ Interworking Function provides forward and backward compatibility as signalling traverses multiple networks, with comprehensive support for legacy protocols.
